Meet the Graduating BA Artists of the Exhibition:

Portraits From Within

Sadie Baker

Photographer

Sadie Baker is an artist living in Southern Colorado where she works with digital, analog photography and creative writing to create diverse work dealing with women in society. Sadie's biggest goal when creating art is to empower women all over the US. She creates awareness by covering topics like oppression, identity discovery and abusive relationships. Through this process Sadie researches other artists dealing with similar societal issues to help influence her work. Through the use of photography, writing and research, her work provides a personal dialogue between visual and verbal senses. She creates an overwhelming and uncomfortable sensation from this dialogue to ensure the viewer takes something away from the piece. In her spare time she runs competitively for the track and field program at Adams State University and drinks as much coffee as she can.
